Cheers , finally got both sides off. Hell of a lot of time spent on this but reckon the key is compressing the springs by jacking or using the proper tool.

Yeah removed pinch bolt and drained oil ,( aye it does rinky dink a bit). I think it's the old problem of it being stuck in the hub on the lip on the spline. Gonna jack up on the arb droplink tomorro ...

Yeah sump drained till dry. There was a little left in the Filter housing but I think this is unavoidable.
I put in 2 3/4 which shows just above halfway on Dipstick. Sure this is right as my old Citr ...
