The good news is that I changed the MAP sensor and this fixed the problem I was having straight away.

Code reader is showing P0300 Random/multiple cylinder missfire detected
which im guessing could be a number of things?

i opted for V2.1 and it works fine , although the free obd software i used with my smartphone did warn that there are a lot of fake chinese V2.1 around .

i think garages charge about 40 quid to diagnose.
ive seen a reader on ebay for 16 quid that you plug into your laptop, gives you the fault code and its meaning. and some for 70 quid that have a disp ...
