Checked the MAP sensor reading today with the engine off it fluctuates between 98 and 99
is this good or bad?

*UPDATE*
Code reader is showing P0300 Random/multiple cylinder missfire detected
which im guessing could be a number of things? |

i opted for V2.1 and it works fine , although the free obd software i used with my smartphone did warn that there are a lot of fake chinese V2.1 around . |

I called into a garage and they had a hand held diagnostic reader, they said a fault would only show up when the engine light is on. Once the engine is restarted the fault clears and the light doesnt ... |

the light has gone off on its own..
is this normal? i thought that once it came on it had to be reset with a code reader to get it off again.
or does it reset itself for minor faults once t ... |

i think garages charge about 40 quid to diagnose.
ive seen a reader on ebay for 16 quid that you plug into your laptop, gives you the fault code and its meaning. and some for 70 quid that have a disp ... |
