could be just a flat battery, the noise you describe sounds like a starter motor relay.
And as MrBSI said, more info is needed about the car |

I'd stay away from cheap ebay aero wipers, i made that mistake on my old car and a few weeks later had some nice deep scratches on my windscreen. Not tried any others though. |

i would move the ballasts well away from the ECU and check you have good earths from the battery - the earth wires my need upgrading depending on the current your drawing from the electrical system. |

a 7/16 is about 11.1mm so wont help but they both usually work

I would fix the exhaust, and take it for an Italian tune-up (rag it!) just before the retest.

If it was me i would probably rebuild it. I rebuilt my mondeo diesel when the cambelt snapped on that. Cost me around £150 for all the parts including new valves etc. It just depends on if you can ge ... |
