The actual tensioner wheel is offset so can be moved around ajusting the tension.

Shouldn't fail for HID's as long as they have the proper pattern which they would if fitted correctly.

Aftermarket HIDs are a fail as from January 2012.

Even buy a drum one and swap the brakes/stubs over.. Thats not the easiest job in the world though. But possible!
