I don't think electronically it would be possible for a third party device to simply be plugged in and grab all the figures from the cars computer, it isn't quite that simple.

Honestly you need the codes read, but could be anything to do with the injection, ignition or emission control system. |

According to the handbook if the light is flashing then you risk damage to the catalytic converter. |

Have you checked the battery? When it doesn't start do you hear a rapid ticking sound upon turning the key? |

If you mean the temp gauge is way out on the temperature then it might need a new sensor which is located in the wing mirror and these can come from Pe ... |
