Then yes it's easy, you may have to file the circuit board down a mm or so to make it fit properly as the blanks from eBay are a little hit and miss with the sizes (well mine was). But other than that ...

It's all about how you drive it lol, I managed Birmingham and back in my 180 (116 miles each way) on half a tank... and that wasn't being gentle. So I imagine a 1.4 being driven sensibly would get mu ...

I don't know if you actually NEED to disconnect the battery but I tend to do it when charging any at my house just for safe measure.
