I also heard the cylinder head design was by mecachrome.

Apart from this I thought it was all developed by Peugeot Sport.

As above I would say change spark plugs to OE Peugeot Bosch and check Coil Pack. If an older model the Sagem coil pack may have given up the ghost.

Just a tip for cleaning the earth, try scrubbing hard with high grit sand paper until shiny and clean.

Then before you reattach to chassis give it a good plastering of copper grease.

Failing that AutoSol and a polishing cloth gets those up lovely, but requires quite a bit of patience and elbow grease.

You can get a really nice mirror effect on the heat shield again with that.

Plugs now changed to Bosch 'Supers' original Peugeot 180 part - Bosch FR7ME

NGK's 'LFR6B' came out.

Car now idling nicer and car pulling more cleanly ...

I'm driving the g/f's car again at the moment (black 180) and I really enjoy driving it. Pullls well and fun in the bends too.

Am I right in thinking the part # for the VVT Solenoid is 00001920 GR?

I don't think it is working properly anyway as it used to feel a smooth transition higher up the ...

Drop Link around £15

Driveshaft Seal £pence + labour

Wheel Bearing £50?
