Thanks mac , I had a look at gsf and they're not bad prices, they offer premium driveshafts so Id go for them which are a bit more costly but still a bit cheaper than peugeot

The sound gets louder as I press the brake peddle but once fully applied it tends to get quieter, my disks and pads do look foo bard so when I get back from spain ill get them sorted,

As 14hdi said get it plugged in, sounds like an electrical problem to me, if the gauge shoots up to red line very fast and comes back down fairly sharpish too then I very much doubt your actual coolan ...
