Yeah for me it was a straight swap, I took out the old one line screen and literally just plonked the larger one in its place and it all worked!

I used to find that a right pain - I changed the display to the larger screen which solved it because the temperature doesnt replace the time on that one!

Its the same engine but different trim levels - the hdi gti gets the same kit as a petrol gti 138 - leather seats, nimrods and probably better suspension/brakes which I guess warrants a higher insuran ...

I normally just wait until the stop light and abs lights etc turn off anyway, its better to let it prime itself!
