Can check the linkages on the gearbox by removing the battery and tray + air filter thats how I sorted mine |

Actually figured this out guys, took out the air box and had a good root around an noticed on the back of the gear box where the rods for gearstick are there was a connector thing tha ... |

spray a bit of WD40 into the lock
the pins might be stuck
