All sorted now thanks to Mr BSI, you pointed me to the exact fuse and now we've removed the power feed from the cigar lighter , the stereo all works perfectly. Now to re-educate Halfords. I don't yet ...

Thanks I will follow your advice and when I then get a good result then ask Halfords how they feel about wasting my precious Saturday.

As per the Halfords advice I have tagged into the purple wire feeding the cigar lighter to provide power for a new Sony stereo. I have used the additional wiring harness that Halfords sold me. I canno ...
