[b]I plugged in a U480 Universal OBD2 CAN BUS Fault Code Scanner and it said "NO CODES!"?[/b]

I have applied a layer of touch up paint from halfords [correct code] and it is a lot darker; anyway - never mind that.
How do I get it smooth and shiny without taking off the surrounding paint?

I don't think the polystyrene foam which the door liner is made of actually absorbs water? If it did act like a sponge the metal door to which it is attached would, as someone has rightly said - 'rot ... |
