I'm investigating an issue I have with my Petrol 1.4 2004 206 S

My car idles very lumpy and 'hunts' while stationary, to the point where it will go up to 1500 Rpm, then down to 850 Rpm then ...

To be honest the gasket was way passed it's prime and needed to be replaced, so initially that was my first thought.

I've replaced the head gasket, water pump, timing belt and drive belt in an effort to fix the issue.

It turns out the reason I had the original problem was because I put diesel in, in ...

The coolant is very dark, looks like pond water..

But there isn't any oil/water butter around the oil fill cap.
