Get some decent bug/tar remover. Autoglym is the stuff I use. Soak the pads in that and they should start to come away. Obviously don't scratch away at it though or try and use any form of lever becau ...

On the net somewhere there is a place that did sell brackets that strap round the backbox with a hanger on. Maybe worth trying to find one of those if you can't afford your new one just yet.

Gearbox mount/lower engine mount would be my guess. Maybe gearbox if it does it when setting off as you are putting it under movement when engaging the clutch to the engine

Noticed the other day that in 2nd and 3rd after 4000rpm I get a strange noise coming from the belt area of my car.

It doesn't do it when you are on full throttle, but when you lift off at say 5000 ...
