Worn wheel bearing? If you lift the wheel off the ground, grab it with 2 hands and try moving it from side to side & top to bottom. Worn bushes, drop links etc, could be any number of things.

Why bother bodging it by having the fan on all the time? Relays don't cost that much.

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body? There's lots of posts and a how to on here. This seems to cure most idle issues.

Sounds like you've got a faulty relay, 1 relay is for low speed running and the 2nd is for high speed running. I'd replace both relays, I think from memory they are quite cheap.

It could be any of the locks, Mine was the drivers side although I did take a chance on it. I think you can disconnect the faulty solenoid and try locking it again, although I'm not 100% sure.
