Personally, I wouldn't go to the trouble of swapping the engine from the 1.4 to the 1.6 HDi. Just buy a car that already has this engine in it. Would save so much time and effort. |

Mine functions correctly as far as I know.
At rest, it is at 3 o'clock in your terms, and at 10 o'clock at full extent.
I would say the swept area is around 150 degrees. |

Have you turned it on again since it idled at 4000rpm?
I replaced the ICV in my old GTi-6 a few years back and it did the same thing, but after turning it on again the idle was lower but not where ... |

Have you got power at the coil pack? If you have, then it could be a faulty coil pack itself. Have you tried a different one?
