I read somewhere that electrical tape around the catch stops the rattle, it works for about a week or two but then starts again, Seriously I had so much tape on my catch the boot would hardly close lo ... |

Cheers chaps, so these bolts could not be used to test the horn then? i just wondered if i could test the horn that way to make sure that the contacts aren't duff as it's hard to believe i have a seco ... |

Right so I got a meter on it today and when pushing the steering wheel I get a reading of 12.8v so I assume the new horn is also broken. is there any easy way to test for sure as the horn was apparent ... |

Thanks I tried to replace the relay with one of the others in fact I tried all of them and still nothing, I will get a meter on it ASAP.
Not sure on two horns, I know there is the alarm horn as we ... |

Hay all,
So my cars horn doesn't work (it's a 99 gti 130), I managed to get the grill off and check for corrosion on the wires going to the horn as per others suggestions on here but the connectors ... |

Lol or I could just put some fuel in and see if that helps? i should have just said i wanted to replace the spark plugs just to be happy it's done, it's an easy and cheap job to do before pay day  |

Cheers for the info, I was thinking of maybe replacing the spark plugs first as this seems like an even easier job, and reading up it could be the plugs causing the issues. |

So i had the codes read today, £54.
Two errors cropped up
P0606 Engine control unit and P0262 Injected fuel quantity cylinder 1 too high.
Guy at the garage suggested replacing the ... |

Cheers for that, Im taking it into the garage on Monday. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. The car seems a bit rough on idle so I hope it's just spark plugs. |
