Right so I got a meter on it today and when pushing the steering wheel I get a reading of 12.8v so I assume the new horn is also broken. is there any easy way to test for sure as the horn was apparent ...

So my cars horn doesn't work (it's a 99 gti 130), I managed to get the grill off and check for corrosion on the wires going to the horn as per others suggestions on here but the connectors ...

Lol or I could just put some fuel in and see if that helps? i should have just said i wanted to replace the spark plugs just to be happy it's done, it's an easy and cheap job to do before pay day Wink

Cheers for the info, I was thinking of maybe replacing the spark plugs first as this seems like an even easier job, and reading up it could be the plugs causing the issues.

Cheers for that, Im taking it into the garage on Monday. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. The car seems a bit rough on idle so I hope it's just spark plugs.
