Looks like your spark plug has snapped. Will be a proper pain in the a**e to remove the snapped end, it will be stuck in the head.

The rear calliper doesnt just push in, you have to rotate at the same time. I dont know of any callipers that dont require dismantling the brakes to push the pistons back.

Also, removing the brake ...

Might be worth looking at the voltage regulator first, part of the alternator. If the brushes get worn down then theres no charging. Depends how handy you are though with tools.

The engine was probably running a bit rich as the ECU thought the engine was cold. I know what you mean about reading the water level, that plastic is so thick light doesn't shine through!

Thats a slightly low output for your alternator. Will keep the battery charged, but when running lights heaters etc, may cause a drain on your battery slowly.

Make sure youve not got any air leaks, that could cause a pulsing idle.
