Only thing is... the cam belt slipping doesn't explain the relays clicking....

How much did you pay to have an ECU coded to your car / keys??

I should also add, I've had a play with it, if you feather the throttle you can get the revs to circa 3000rpm before it starts to die... if you floor it from idle it will try to die immediately.

Sorry for asking for help on my first post, it's for my girlfriend who has a 206 (I have a 172 - I hope that's not a sin on these forums!) and it's been absolutely fautless.
