It was the pug coolant I've used which as far as I'm Aware it's concentrated. Any way it was all in vein, despite letting it sit ticking over for ages and getting rid of the water sound from the glove ...

Thanks, I'll have a go at the weekend. The only Eason I asked about cylinder 1 is that the last time I did this was on a mk1 ford fiesta and cylinder 1 was the cam sprocket end Smile
