Hi,

My 206 1.4 HDi has developed an annoying fault in that it hesitates on acceleration and then stalls about every 20 seconds!!

There is a code logged but can't really drive the car to a garage ...
   Topic: 1.4 hdi starts, seconds laters cuts out.

Take the air filter box off the top of the engine and examine the fuel pipes under there. They tend to wear through and get tiny pin-holes in them causing the air to get in and the fuel to run back to ...

Apparently the recirculation of the exhaust gasses through the engine create lower combustion temperatures, therefore if you block the EGR from recirculating the gasses the combustion temperatures wil ...

I have heard that unplugging the EGR would cause you to get worse MPG and reduce the life of the Turbo and CAT...not sure if this is true though?

Royster any news on this mate? My car is doing exactly the same thing. It's a 2003 1.4HDi and has been fine for the 18 months i've had it until recently when it did the 'judder' thing and then cut out ...
