Aside from the DPF, I had a big spend when it came to replacing the clutch and flywheel (DMF). Cost near enough £1000 to get sorted - so worth watching for this!

Also worth listening for seized re ...

I've had my 206 1.6hdi remapped to 140bhp too last christmas, and my clutch started slipping! I was advised that a standard OEM part would suffice, and went with it. Have had no problems, however I do ...

How about some sort of vinyl strip to cover up the damage? A respray will cost a fortune, and touching up won't be sufficient because that looks quite deep. I'm sure you could find a stripe vinyl like ...

I had an OEM replacement fitted on my 1.6 hdi after it was remapped and suffered slip and it's been fine since? I'm careful not to labour the car (e.g. trying to do low rpm pulls in a high gear) and n ...

D4NTP has a good point. No point in hunting for the biggest power figures to brag about if the car has a terrible power delivery. Cars mechanicals are more compromised and drivability is reduced with ...

Make sure you cover the opening for the screen wash lol....don't want a sidelight to fall down there, especially as you'll have it between two fingers.

That is a very fiddly job. Although, saying ...

I had a 1.4hdi as my first, an LX too in fact. Always wished it had more power, and never was allowed to get it remapped. However, more recently bought the 1.6 diesel (everyone hates it on here), and ...

Agreed on the Flywheel front- mine has been replaced once. Very costly job, and was considering some SMF replacements as an alternative, but decided to go DMF still.

Not experienced any of the ot ...
