Im having the same trouble at the mo with my car. ive asked the same question to a couple of mechanics and they said ideally you need to get the same box. this doesnt help i know but i cant get a bett ... |

Lee do you know of any codes or numbers on the gearbox? im doing my nut here i have spoke to loads of people today and they are all giving me different codes and numbers and im lost. |

yeah it was the diff that went bang big time. blew a hole straight thro the gearbox casing about 4in across |

if your definitely sure you want a 180, why dont you just plump and get a loan? use your money now to fix your gti then use the money from selling your gti once fixed to pay a big load off your loan? ... |

would it be worth getting a quote on all the repair work first, or at least talking to a local garage to get an actual cost to fix? then u can decide to sell and let the buyer know how much it will co ... |
