I tried the resetting the key.
The connection from key to car is fine, the lights are flashing, as normal, but the locks dont physically move. Theres still a ticking noise from in the fuse box but iv ... |

No it wont lock via the key.
I can lock the doors manually, but the boot remains open as there is no manual lock on it.  |
