My 8v lump runs below 90 at speed, closer to 80 than 90 actually.
What time does the fan kick in? If coolant is going it must be leaking somewhere. |

Does anybody else think these things don't half chug along like a diesel? I don't mean performence wise as considering what they are I don't think they are too bad.

Late response but this is solved.
Basically I gave the engine a flush/oil change, used total quartz 9000 and wynns engine flush, brand new filter (purflux) as recommended on here, also a new pressu ... |

It's becoming really bizarre now
Today I let it idle for a while, eventually when the coolant temp got to around 94c the fan kicked in at low speed then pretty much straight after my oil light star ... |

Pretty sure it cuts in, AC makes a sort of 'hissing' noise when on.
I am completely clueless when it comes to A/C! It's more the fan i am worried about! |

My only problem now is the fan still does not click on when A/C is on (although i'm not sure if my A/C works correctly) but the fan does work on low speed when engine temperature reaches around 94c! |

It was the low speed fan resistor that went for me, managed to replace it with a new one without removing anything.
My fan kicks in at about 94c (which still seems a tad late to me?) back to aroun ... |

I had similiar symptoms with my 1.4 8v Quiksilver (although not exactly) but when the car was hardly moving despite the throttle being down, my engine management light was flashing and the car was in ... |

It's a paper type one.
Where abouts is the plug? Also is it worth giving the Oil Pressure Switch a change considering it's only a few quid? Maybe that is playing up. |

Not sure as it was fitted at the garage mate.
Just like to add that the oil level reader for the dash is faulty, it changes between full and no oil when it likes despite the dipstick showing it's f ... |
