I replaced the accelerator pedal on my 1.4 HDi when I had one and it doesn't need any setting up - just swap it over and plug it in.

I get the same fault on my LCD display if I remove the battery from my key fob blipper and turn the ignition on.
Worth trying a new battery and I hope that doesn't sound patronising in any way!

I used to own a Peugeot 206 1.4 HDi the same as you and it would push out some black smoke under acceleration when booted.
It always passed the emissions test on the MOT though so it was never a prob ...

Hi Wolf

The Gti 180 only has the MAP sensor and not the MAF.
Peugeot and Citroen diesel engines, the Hdi models, usually have the MAF sensor.

You can buy an electrical circuit paint repair kit from Halfords etc which lets you bridge any gaps in the rear demister strips.
