Have you removed the glovbox for access? I sprayed wd40 around the edge of my motor and left it a day, came away ok then |

Hi
I have an intermittent abs light on my preplex gti. I don't have Planet but my scan tool does connect to the abs module and gives me a code C1118, but no explanation.
A search online doesn't ... |

It clips in behind the little vent in the dash on the passenger side. I don't think you can get access without removing the glovebox from memory. I don't think it has screws to hold it in, it just cli ... |

I had this happen. It was the heater resistor. It is part of the fan behind the glovbox. It can be changed separately without renewing the fan. Presuming you have climate control it's the part that l ... |

Really annoying!
Gti preplex. Horn will just beep by itself. No pattern, car can be parked and ignition off or can be whilst driving. Not every journey. One toot, two toots, half toot. Crazy

Have the early gti engine on a W plate. Just taking the head off to change the valves (coolant froze in winter, my fault). Going smoothly so far, no troublesome bolts etc

I had mine done at the dealer in december because they were the cheapest around. £295 not including water pump. Or £345 if you opt for genuine Pug parts

Even easier to visually look to see if the switch is connected first? Sometimes left disconnected through other work like a clutch. |

Seeing as your old fan and motor still work you can just swap the resistor from the damaged fan and then you've got a whole spare unit to sell or keep! |
