I just changed cambelt, it did it before and after, so I assume yes...
I already fixed manifold heat shield, that's now silent.
The noise I get comes surely around cambelt, in particular with cold e ... |

Hi everybody! Anyone experienced a rattle noise from the plastic cover of the timing belt? Mine always did it, I actually located the noise and I would like to fix it... |

Yes, you have to connect the button to the speedo (1 wire), update BSI and enable a couple of functions. |

Thanks, I already fitted a grooved washer and some Loctite, it reduced a lot, but it still annoying... |

This is my second 206 and both have this annoying noise, rear ARB make a "boing" noise as suspension is compressed.
I never found the cure to it... |

Nope, that's another issue (that I have); the 6 "arrows" that keep it in place became longer because of the heat and make the cover rattle. |

Yes, if it just started squeaking, you'll have no damage to the drivetrain/arms, so you'll have to replace 4 bearings and 2 seals only. I did it last week... |

Yup, mine too. It was squeaking without play. Replaced bearings and issue gone. |

You can do it on the car, I lifted up mine, and with the help of a friend that pulled down the spring, compressing the helper I lubricated the upper seat, then I lubed the lower plates... |

Yup, same for me. You have to spray some Molykote graphite grease on the contact point between spring (normal and helper) and spring plates. Never had any issue since 3 months. |
