There seems to be a lot of engines for sale advertised as kfw with dipstick on the right. Any ideas?

Will I need the ecu reset as engine management light is on. Also can u tell the engine code just by lookin at engine?

So am I right in sayin that the engine code has nothin to do with whether its preplex or multi. Also is the position of the dipstick relevant. I have found an engine with same code and from same year ...

I have a 2001 on a y reg 1.4. Is it preplex or multiplex. also is it kfw or kfx. Any help is much appreciated. If it helps the dipstick is on th left.
