Car is a 206 1.4lx 2000 W reg.

Lights go out when peddle released,
Peddle does not appear to stick and I cannot raise it any higher with my foot underneath it.
Did not happen when master cylinder ...

Hi,

as title, both my front calipers are binding/sticking on.

On first start of the day all is good for approx 1/2 miles then i get a squeal from the front driver side then after a another coupl ...

Ok, I guess I've ruled out driveshaft too then as I get none of what you wrote whilst driving on full lock in a circle l.
Could a failing wheel bearing cause my squeal? And stop when applying brakes?

Hi,

This may be a daft question so please dont laugh, but, if i hold the shaft (bar part) of a drive shaft should there be and side to side (lateral) movement in it?

I ask as im getting a squeal ...

The bolt that came with your pads "should" be the right one to use. The bolt has 2 likes s that engage with the lower caliber pin to stop it spinning when tightening the bolt up.

I decided to stick it out and the noise has now almost gone. No idea why .

I can report that the car is a bit more .... Let say eager than normal.

It's on approx 144 thousand. I'll run it tonight and tomorrow morning..., if no change I'll put 10w40 back in.
Pity they don't do a fully synthetic 10w40

Ive checked and run about and re checked levels and they are fine. The engine sound is a bit tappy.... Could this just be cause it's a "thinner" oil?

Hi,

I've just completed an oil and filter change and decided to go for 5w40 instead of my norm 10w40. However now it's running a bit tappy...... Is this ok as I e never used 5w40 before?

Get it hooked up to diagbox/pp2000 and see if any fault codes pop up, best starting point in my opinion.

Quick question,

I had both front flexi brake pipes replaced whilst working away and have now found they are catching my wheel when I go on full lock.

I am an able to go back to original ...
