Thanks peeps for all the advice and as i am a tight git can someone please tell me what kind of price we are talking about for a garage to replace the bearing.

Not a mechanic minded person so can anyone tell me if a wheel bearing is easy to fit.

I did suspect a wheel bearing but dont you get movement in the wheel if you jack the car up and rock the wheel? i have tried this but no movement.

I have a peugeot 206 1400 diesel and it has developed a rumbling noise at the front that gets faster as the car speeds up but the strange thing is that when i turn left it disapears and comes back as ...
