Because of the Black rectangular bit in the housing which holds the pcb.
The Black rectangular bit could be a magnet or a transpnder.
Do as what I did in my earlier post to fix it, or transfer the ... |

[b]First fault is the indicators, sometimes they won't cancel when you knock it off yourself e.g the stalk seems to be very sensitive. Also when you go over a bump in the road or something the indicat ... |

I had the same fault as your after changing the fob. I transfered the pcb & the key to the new fob and then had same fault as yours.
It turned out that I had not transfered a Black rectangular block ... |

Hi Guys,
Thank you all for the inputs.
I fitted the mirror this morning. The 2 missing black wires are for the outside temperature sensor.
Everything now works apart from the outside temperature se ... |

I think that the 2 brown wires of the 5 are for the heaters, but could the missing 2 wires be for outside temperature sensor?

Hi,
5 door hatchback 1.4HDI
The original door mirror has 7 wires from an Orange rectangular connector.
The replacement that I have ordered has only 5 wires with similar orange connector.
