Yes sir, they'll be fine
You may need an angle grinder to take the old ones off, you can get one from Argos for 15quid and that would be perfect for this kinda job. |

Wheel bearings are completely different from Axle bushes/bearing
Wheel bearning is easy to do, Axle bearing/bushes is a bit complicated
I think you friend meant Axle bushes/bearing, Go and ask him ... |
