just had to put a new box (saxo, was sold as a 206 only to find it wasnt when i got home) on my 1.4 glx W reg due to a ticking sound when coasting.
got everything sorted all gears selectable etc b ... |

Anyone?!?! Saxo gear linkages are the same as 206 links arent they?? So would make no

Are 206 linkages and Saxo linkages different lengths then??
Need to know as I'm determined to get it done tomorrow, sick of being carless

Got sold a gearbox today as a 206 1.4 gearbox only to find out after closer inspection its a Saxo one.
Some of the linkage levers on the box arent the same, and I didnt notice this until the box wa ... |

will a mk2 gearbox fit a mk1 206? as ive already replaced mine with a 1.1 gearbox and its now making a loud ticking noise after 4 months. on the hunt for a cheapish 1 now and thers not alot about wher ... |

Ive got abit of corrosion in the engine bay behind the strut on the drivers side down where the drainage hole is. Is there anything I can do to weld it without taking the dashboard out? As cant be got ... |

Ive had the tensioner off coz I had to replace it so thats ok, it seems to be comin from the cam belt not the fan belt lol. Ive got a vid of how it sounds but not sure how to post it lol i'm uploading ... |

I swapped mine for 1 off of a spares/repairs 206 1.1 i have in my garden, because it was in better condition. Same belts aren't they? Also even with the old 1 on it whined.
Forgot to add mines a 1. ... |
