Could be lambda sensors on the exhaust? I would hook up a Diagnostic Fault Scanner to see what error codes it throws out?

Haven't been able to get really stuck in to this project yet due to weather and other things. I did manage to get the new exhaust system fitted today though.

I know the GTi one is £190 if you send your old ABS pump for refurb - or £250 without exchange.

The underside is getting wire brushed then Dinitrol treatment - only on rusty spare wheel area though.

I removed the go faster air filter and opted to fit the std airbox to keep engine roar to a minimum.
