HAD THIS TODAY after fitting a new AM headunit. I'm laughing now because it's sorted but I got so scared  and do not wish this upon anyone :( |

No the person that reconditioned the gearbox was up in Wolverhampton near the Dunstall Park, and the garage I used just took the gearbox out and in again after the gearbox had been repaired mate.

yeh thanks mate, well it HAS to be the layshaft within the gearbox taking into account that I've got a new clutch kit just installed. The car is now at the garage and hoping to get it back either end ... |

that in the gearbox giveitsomebar??  it shud be. i am 100% sure now that a new gearbox will fix my problem having took advice from various garages yesterday and other forums on the net. |

Hi all, no juddering for me btw. I got the car back from the garage, and they confirmed that a new gearbox is due... Unfortunate but what can you do. The noise is that one of the bearings or something ... |

Thanks giveitsomebar. Sorry I forgot to mention I dropped it off yesterday and they called me today saying its ready so just waiting for my lift to go garage. They stated that it is still a bit noisy ... |

Hi people. 6 months ago the release bearing on the clutch went... Clutch was replaced... Last week I heard again the similar noise, and it was release bearing again so the garage fixed it under warran ... |

okay, i lowered and got alloys, so quite noticeable... I mean if its common sense for any garage to just grab the paint code and paint and fully respray the wing, and fit it on accordingly whilst real ... |
