check the relays first since you have no fan at all.To check the resistor remove it from the car and test between all 3 pins the meter should beep wherever you put the test probes if you dont have con ... |

all you need to check the resistor is a cheap multimeter aon continuity or beep test to repair the wiring just cut the multi plug from the damaged loom taking note what colour wire goes to each termin ... |

the resistor is in the radiator housing you cansee it if you look through the lower grill and you can remove it without removing the bumper from underneath. if you can test it you should have continui ... |

with mine it was a slow speed rad fan problem . mine had Exactly the same symptoms and when i replaced the low speed resistor it goes to 93 degrees but never any higher, so in my case it was a fan pro ... |

this happened to me and the problem was the low speed fan .If you dont think your fan is working then you have probably just answered your own question .The reason the guage goes fron normal to hot an ... |

possibly the fan motor is spinning but not turning the fan blades .
with the ignition off see if you can feel resistance when turning the fan blades with a finger if no resistance the blades are disc ... |

as i said car does not overheat and also does not pressurise the system.Problem is electrical as no car can go from normal to overheating and return to normal in 20 seconds but thanks for your reply a ... |

thanks does your car have air con if so then this could be the problem as mine only runs with air con on. Also does your low speed fan run from near eneough cold |
