might be a leak between hot and cold. is the pressure in the system when its hot check by
squeezing a rad hose. ov dont remove tank cap |

are all the latch bolts tight?
is the latch pin tight?
can you move the hook over on the door latch and return it with pulling the haddle up? |

run it hot with out ac on untill you see the rad fan kick on and off repetitively.
if it is, then all is well . |

i done my gti about a month ago its a 2000 gti 140. The tensioner was a normal sprung loaded one. but in not familiar with the 180, so i cant be sure. maybe there might be a peugeot expert on here lat ... |
