itl drive a fair way if the battery is fully charged. I once drove mine about 170mile when the power steering belt snapped, i hooked up a battery tester so I could see the useage in real time, and too ... |

take the steering wheel cowl off and trying sparying the stalk with a load of wd40, sometimes it will clean up the connection and the stalk wil be all good for another few 10 thousand mile |

dont remove the stalk yet, first thing to do its take to steering wheel cowlin off, then spary WD40 at the stalk where it is hinged from, work it in by moving the stalk in all direction and then spary ... |

as someone has siad before it depends on how well looked after it is and how willing you are to shell out for new /second hand bits to keep it going, i think the engine block and head will last foreve ... |
