I thought there was a bolt you needed to take out somewhere in the middle that you couldnt get to unless the slatted bit was out first?

I'm trying to remove the front grill, and looking at the haynes manual it says start by removing the four push fastners accros the top (by the bonet catch) which I've done, then release the lower reta ... |

we had very similar on ours, did the same, replaced the earth strap, turned out to be a duff battery - new battery fitted, been fine since, and that was 18months ago.
