right peeps i changed my passenger side drop link, as it was banging and a advisory on mot, bought both sides to do at same time but cause of our grand weather the grinder had to go away and work stop ... |

i tried this a few weeks back has management light was on but no luck the dongle wouldnt communicate with my ecu, 2000 reg gti 138 although the dongle says it compatible just says failed to communicat ... |

the rattle when accelerating is more or less likely the mainfold heat shield, which need removing and spot welding, as for misfires mine is doing the exact same at low revs, but when i had mot done me ... |

well took car in this afternoon for mot, had an advisory on offside drop link and a tyre on the limits but failed on emission from the readings the cat is buggered  so back in 2moro to get it so ... |

check your battery, i had same problem not long back, was driving home noticed engine management and abs lights were on, pulled over an car died, turned out to be a loose connection on battery and it ... |

my brakes were grinding 1st thing this mornin both new pads and discs back in may, but after leaving the estate and brakes had warmed up everythin was fine, same when i got in car leaving work this af ... |

windscreen seal could be letting water in, 1st thing 1st is to change pollen filter if thats damp, it could be sucking moisture into the cabin when blowers are on, i';ve had this problem on other cars ... |

new battery fitted reading 12.65v at standstill, terminal block replaced slightly different readings at idle and with load on but i'm assuming thats because the alternator hasnt gotta work as hard to ... |

had a look cable looks pretty good cant see where it connects to gearbox bloody sun making it hard to see, but its slightly exposed battery end looks stretched
