i tried this a few weeks back has management light was on but no luck the dongle wouldnt communicate with my ecu, 2000 reg gti 138 although the dongle says it compatible just says failed to communicat ...

windscreen seal could be letting water in, 1st thing 1st is to change pollen filter if thats damp, it could be sucking moisture into the cabin when blowers are on, i';ve had this problem on other cars ...

had a look cable looks pretty good cant see where it connects to gearbox bloody sun making it hard to see, but its slightly exposed battery end looks stretched
