Thank you all 3! looks like my calculations were correct, definitely doing 500 rpm too much in 5th at 70mph.

Thanks a lot for that, confirms what I thought and had worked out.
So it looks like a trip back to the garage as I'm doing 500 rpm more than that at 70 mph.

Thanks Steve, yes I thought this would be a quick one, just need somebody with a 1.4 hdi, to tell what their revs are at any speed in 5th.
BE or MA? its a manual, is that what it means?

That's interesting, I was thinking my eBay fob was at fault, so hopefully it just needs synching using the PP2000.

the locksmith had a black box, which he connected to something under the dashboard, I've had the car since new, so was able to supply the code.
What is a PP2000? |

Thanks Hawkers, I think they've put a petrol engine gearbox on my 1.4 HDi!
Just need somebody with a 1.4 HDi, to give me a rough indication of revs at any speed in 5th gear |

Hi guys,
I've just had a recon gearbox fitted and im sure im reving higher now at 70mph, does anybody with a 1.4 hdi know what thiers revs at doing 70mph?
Its doing over 3000revs now, but i thin ... |
