Have you tried doing it with the headlights on? I had this issue and it worked when headlights were on. Its a failing comms unit i believe |

1) im sure you dont have a H reg 206 lol
2) problem with having it attached to the battery is that it will be a constant power supply, unless you fitted a switch somehow. |

People normally put 205/40/17 tyres on vortex alloys, might stop the rubbing depending on where the rubbing is, as the tyre is 10mm thinner (5mm top and 5mm bottom) |

I think the alloys you are on about are the 16 inch nimrod alloys. Look on ebay there are a few sets for sale |

I had this problem....i just took the idle control valve out, cleaned it all up, but it back together and it worked fine |

Surely if it is a bad knock, you should get it looked at???? You could be puttings other people at risk because u cant be arsed to look after your car |

The fact the wheels are on spacers shouldnt make a difference to the shaft.
As for new rims, best bet it to get peugeot ones (17 inch vortex or 16 inch nimrods) |

You can just take the cap off. It just twists off i believe |
