Was it the same bottom end on both engines, or was it a complete replacement?
Same piston each time?
The spark plug cannot 'hit the piston'.....it is definitely always the piston that hits the s ... |

Might be unrelated (or maybe not) but the engine does seem to judder a fair bit once switched off.....as in it feels like it carries on moving for a second or so after killing the ignition - hard to e ... |

No clutch slip - clutch operates okay, just a lot of judder at the bite point unless you give it more revs than I would have thought you needed to
Don't think I've heard any creaking, but I've not ... |

And I probably made it sound much worse than I was intending when I said 'short a fuse' 
Just meant 'can I get the electric fan to kick in on demand to test it'

It just seems to confirm that there's very little difference in spec terms between Sport, XSi and DTurbo ap ... |

I'm thinking of something similar to brochures you see with all the models listed ... |
