i can totally understand your reasons for easing the suspension back those spring rates in a car that light! I am surprised you didn't need dental work Rolling On The Floor Laughing keep the updates coming!

Imagine dropping a leaf in front of the car, that wold have felt like I just drove over a gravestone. It really was just insanely harsh.


The 0-60 time your hoping for should be achievable as long as you can keep traction, has it shown what it is like accelerating in higher gears at what point is it possible to lean fully on the loud pedal with out fear of wasting it due to the traction giving up? (obviously you can't actually try that out in practice yet but a best guess would shut me up Laughing )

Because of the size of the rear wheels (225/45/17) on such a light car (860kg) it generally has no problem with accelerating and slipping at all. It just kind of goes... The biggest surge comes when changing gear, that's when you feel it the most, and when it's most likely to skip a tiny bit. Other than that it's amazing. At 70 down motorways it's no louder than before because I opted for a slightly quieter exhaust, being my daily drive. However on overtaking on dual carriageways and motorways I can see it being very very easy to misinterpret the speed you're going and hit over 100 with ease. (Not that I have of course, it just pulls very quickly).

Rolling roaded on 04/05/10 at 256bhp and 223 lb/ft of torque at 6580 rpm.

Will be hitting near on 265 if I raise the rev limit to 7100 which it should now be able to take!

Also just sat on my laptop in town waiting for my windscreen to be replaced because of the dents, managed to blag the black surrounded one as well, so it will go more with my theme and not get all disgustingly mucky like the silver one does.

Sorry I didn't mean the peak torque was at that RPM... what I meant to say was peak POWER of 256 at 6580 rpm, and peak torque of 223 at about 4800 rpm.

I buggered up again and read the wrong figures. It's actually 226 lbft of torque at 3700RPM

Are you sure this time, all those conversations on msn explaining to me how to read a RR graph Laughing [ j/k Razz ]

All in though considerable gains there it looked good in the videos before mapping. You really need to get this on a drag strip get it timed properly! have you had a stab at full throttle yet?

Yeah, I've been playing around, seen some other cars who have tried to 'have a go' at me. The only one I struggled with was a GT3RS which I kept even with up to about 70ish then he started to get away, and evidently I was slowing down as it was only a dual carriageway...
