Cheers Uz Very Happy Still a few bits to do on the outside like the rear chrome trim which i'm due a phone call for tomorrow. I started re-fitting the original stereo connector today which is fiddley but i think i've just about figured it out! Then i can get on with re-fitting the rest of the goodies! Smile Besides that i'm just after a cam belt change then after that i'll just be cleaning the car to bits up until FCS.

Well i THINK i have all the wiring sorted.

 


It switches on but i still need to get myself a code to actually get the thing to work.
 


I took a break half way through my stint to polish the centre of the steering wheel Smile

 


I've also started to route the cd changer controller up near the steering wheel which has involved removing the plastic bit that the ECU is connected to and removing the ecu screws to feed the cd changer controller through. I just need to screw it all back together, tidy the wires up and stick the side panel on and i should be nearly there...then onto drilling the holes for the CD changer and finding a way to plug up the old ones!

Cheers Smile Not loads left to do as such but just going to be a pain to round things up:

Finish installing head unit, cd changer controller etc and get a code for the head unit.
Install CD changer and plug off the old changer holes some how.
Chase up Peugeot for the 3rd time to get rear bumper moldings
Need to go back to Ecosse to get the black vinyls on the verticals of the doors which are NLA from peugeot so an aftermarket solution is required Sad
Might still get cam belt done and the cover put back on.

And then i'll be happy for this year.

I dunno how confident I am at doing so though Ed and as you say, it is quite a squeeze, although probably a lot harder in a 205. I sort of want a receipt as well to add to the history of the car. I've been quoted around £150-ish to have it done including the water pump, so it's not too bad.

Nah not bad at all really.

We did alot of maintence and service items one of the cars where the parts almost came to £150.

Did a little bit more today. First thing was first...err put the car back together! Laughing

 


What i was doing here was removing the ECU holder and I unscrewed the ECU itself so i could get the cd changer controller through the gap as it's all wired up together, so i couldn't just pop the wire through and attach it afterwards which was a pain. Anyway it went through the hole fine.

 


I then tidied up all the wiring, put a velcro coin on the back of the changer controller and the other half on the dash so that i can hide it when need be on that little shelf under the steering wheel and attach it to the velco when i need it. I put the side panel back on and it's all turned out to look a bit like this.

 


Voila... now just to fit the CD changer, get a code for the stereo and hopefully it should all work!
