I agree with what everyone is saying. They are subtle mods, and look really good (if you know what to look for).
Weren't you doing something with the engine with this car?

Yurp 'were' because of the thoughts of going back standard, if it's standard I aint doing the engine swap, it was getting modded subtly so when the engine went in it wasnt chavtesticle but the looks would match the power

In that situation, strip it, sell up and buy a faster/better car. No point (awaits flaming) in a 1.1, you have little Ethiopian spec torsion & arb bars plus tiny brakes...

Which would all be uprated, as would most things, I dont 'buy' power I'd rather 'build' it - I know what your saying, it costs more ect, but wheres the fun in buying power when you could build it and have some feeling of completion of a large scale project..

I'm not saying you should buy power, but there are things like the interior, the chassis, the electronics, the brakes, the potential resale value. You will literally save yourself thousands by selling up and buying a GTi180. There is nothing you have done to your car that couldn't easily be recreated on the 180...

If you're wanting more power then you need a 180 in your life. It will take you YEARS to find a T16 engine and when you do it will cost you a few thousand even before it's fitted.

my lame input ... the point of 'buying power' is to USE IT immediately, rather than waiting for various performance parts to be sourced, bought, and then fitted. There's no 'fun' in that, the fun is in the driving of it

If you want more power, don't start low, and try and build high. Start high, and try and build higher.... you know it makes sense.

Oh I know it all could be easily re-done on a 180, and I know it would cost me a shead load to get my car to the same spec, but thats not what I'm after, I dont want a 180 replica, nor do I want a 180 tbh.. I just want more power actually who doesnt? lol, I know it would be sooooo much easier to get a 180, and cheaper tbh, but idk I want to be different I guess haha!
If/When I buy a new car it wont be a 206 anyway, as much as I love them I wont buy 2 of the same car - Larger engine or not.. I'll be keeping the 206 though and probably track it.. But thats not until a good long while in the future.. Resale value doesnt bother me, I'll get rid of the car when I slam it into a wall on a track LOL!

the T16 was just an option B, I know I'll more than likely never find one (Which soooooooks!) I seriously doubt I'd go straight from the 1.1 and drop such a large engine in anyway unless you all want no 'Code Monkey' as I'd more than likely pile it into the first sexy tree I saw, I'll probably meet in the middle at first lol!

Stop trying to well me your car haha! Yeah I know, it's said constantly on here when people talk about engine swaps.. Like I said, I want to be different =P You know me Ant, I don't follow the crowds and do as they say lol!

and why has this changed from 'Should I go back standard' to my engine :/ it's not even related lol, The going back standard wasnt to sell the car, nor to fund the new engine, it was just an idea I had
