Whilst fitting my springs yesterday i popped the drive shaft out the passenger side (yes i know before anyone says anything). Well i lost loads of gearbox oil so now i need some. I know i need Total 75w80 but my problem is i've already driven 60miles this morning looking for some in all the Total petrol stations. The only Total oil i can find is 80w90. Would this be ok to use.
Seen as i lost a lot of oil i thought i may as well change the entire 2ltrs of gearbox oil but cant find the 'correct' oil.

Pop to Halfords in Brynmawr. It doesnt need to be Total, And i'd see if you can get a lift before you do some damage.
Make you used the right grade oil or the gearbox wont feel right.

Until you find a place selling the total oil, i'm sure the oil you have got in there will do the job for the time being. Better than having none and doing some damage.
