*Updated on later pages*
The car was bought in March this year 16900 on the clock, it’s a 1.4 8v and the title is named SP after the theme I’m taking; subtle OEM sport whilst retaining individuality
I have seen a bit of negativity on the forum recently about owners with smaller engines styling their cars with alloys and such. It goes without saying I make these little styling tweaks for my own satisfaction (oo-er), I like the style of the things I’ve done and plan to do, so *in best cartman voice* whatevuhh I’ll do what I wawnt
Here it is when I first got it
Since then I have bought a multi-line display and made it blue, replaced the ashtray with a cup holder, got a short aerial and added this leather gear knob and gaiter. All of these were from Peugeot aside from the knob and gaiter as I am trying to keep the car as OEM as possible
I really like the honeycomb grill and decided to compliment it with an SP badge, some might say ‘you fail, those are only meant to go on the mesh grills’ but I like it, its fixed on properly as not to fall off, but can be taken off without a mark of it being on
These were all done whilst saving up for a spoiler, not trusting myself to do it properly I’ve gone to the dealership that the car was bought from to have it done in their body shop, the deposit has been paid and last time I dropped by it had arrived and was about to be painted, so it should be on within the week
To do:
Alloys will be a must when the spoiler is on, I’m going for 16” tempests from the accessory brochure, will take some saving up unless I find a full set in decent condition second hand, I’m open to suggestions on the brand of tyres, I’m going for 195/45. I’m avoiding the sports wings and arches, I just like what I have going on there as it is really
I also have some group n gear linkages from pug racing through CD-206gti’s offer, these are yet to be fitted, so I’m on the search for a reputable person/garage to do it
I’m sure there’s loads of other things I would like to get but have forgot them as I’ve wrote this up, I’ll post updates as they happen, cheers for reading!

good start mate, shame your not taking it on yourself would save so much money doing D.I.Y spraying and fitting ect but I guess the high finsih your aiming for is probably best achieved through peugeot. nice oem them though think it looks so much better when modified this way.
EDIT: where did you get the gearknob and gaitor would love one myself it looks great.

Cheers for the feedback lads, the gear knob was from here and the gaiter was from here
Look on that ebay sellers page and he sells loads of different colour leather and stitching combinations, the gaiter is elasticated at the bottom so fits in the standard frame nicely, however the gearknob comes with a screw in cap at the bottom that does not have a hole big enough to fit over the plastic cap on the actual gear stick, so I left that screw cap out, tucked the top end of the gaitor in on itself and glued the folded in edge on to the metal on the gear knob that would have been covered by the screw on cap. Sounds complicated but thats improvising for ya

Thanks for the comments all
yes I did make a thread in the past but it turned into a discussion about everyone elses insurance, on top of the fact that I hadn't really done much or had anything booked, so I'm going to request that the older thread be deleted
I'm looking forward to the spoiler being on too, I was gunna wait until the spoiler was on to take a picture for this months picture competition, however tomorrow being bank holiday monday I highly doubt they are gunna get back to me and fit it by the end of tuesday
As for saving for the tempest alloys, a lot of them crop up cheap on ebay but only for the 307 mainly from dealerships that have them in a display cabinet and then sell them on because of minor scratches. I'm trying to find out if the offset for the 307 tempest and the one listed as a 206 accessory are the same fitment before I start collecting them one by one of ebay lol

Cheers Howey, I don't think I've seen the tempests on a hatchback 206 so there can't be many
If I started buying the 307 ones individually, would I be able to mix and match ones sold for the 206 as well? Or best sticking to 307 ones for all 4
Edit: if if i bought the 307 wheels, what wheel bolts would i need? Cheers

Thanks i bought the cup holder from a peugeot dealer, the ashtray unclips and you just push the cup holder in place. Price varies from £5-10 look on ebay there may be a cheaper deal
it does the job well, i normally put bottles in it though because an open cup wont bode well when you have to brake for someone pulling out infront of you lol
filled the tyres up with some air earlier, front were on 1.9 bar so filled them back to 2.3 and you can feel the difference in handling afterwards haha. When I eventually get 16" alloys on 195/45, what would the recommended tyre pressure be? I still haven't found some one to fit my new linkages (don't want to take such a small job to the dealers but at the same time don't want any old garage clanking spanners off my paintwork) and i'm hoping for a sharpish phone call to say my spoilers ready, can't wait
