Right, basically I am not gonna lie, last night I was very very naughty boy. I was heading back from my girlfriend's in Oxford back home to Chippenham. it was 2:00am so not a soul on the roads. Was crusing along at 85mph-95mph most the way home along the M4. A friend has said that they have average speed cameras on the stretch of M4 between Swindon and Chippenham. Would they have picked me up at 2am? :S:S:S:S

Please no comments telling me how bad or naughty or silly I have been as I know this... just honest advice please Sad

Yeah average speed cameras work all day and night, spose you might get lucky but yeah weve got a 40 speed limit average speed with cameras my way, and lots of people have been caught, its sad because you forget about it then a couple of weeks down the line you have a nasty letter on yer front doormat!

I these like the ones on the M42? Speed limit displayed on the over head things with the speed checks immediately after them?

This is something i have always wondered about the M42, When the speed changes do the camers? or do they stay at 70?

I'm not convinced as everyone seems to drive 7-10 mph over the displayed limit. I've only seen a gantry camera flash once and that was on the opposite flow of trafic.

Average speed scamera's, like 'SPECS' don't flash.
